The members at this performance are Kazuko Komoda, Mariko Hosokawa, and Michael Firman. The Koto and Shakuhachi are traditional Japanese instruments that came into Japan from China in the 6th century with Imperial Court Music but are used today in all types of music, though, primarily are found in chamber music ensembles.

She especially enjoys writing music that spiritually encourages others and hopes to impact her audience the way other songwriters have impacted and inspired her. Jean is excited to be sharing some new music at this venue.

(8:00) Mike Warfel Chicago native Mike Warfel has played in rock, blues and country bands for the better part of four decades. Mike has found his niche in presenting old-time folk songs from the early part of the 20th century. Nothing fancy, just plain honest singing and playing.
